Product Choices

1. How do I add a product choice?

Workspaces => Add Workspace =>Add Change => type - create new => select change type as Product choices.

2. Can I delete a product choice that is added to a work space?

Any change added in the workspace can be deleted before approving it. For deleting a product choice, select the check box against the Risk and use the delete option against it or the other actions drop down.

3. What happens if I add a product choice whose name matches with the ones that already exist?

You can add change with any name with in workspace. However while applying these changes in any plan, system restricts applying a change if there is a already a product choice with same and definition do not match

4. What happens if I create a product choice with the same name as is there in a plan but with different definition(no of input columns)?

You can add change with any name with in workspace. However while applying these changes in any plan, system restricts applying a change if there is a already a product choice with same and definition do not match

5. What can be modified in product choice during an update?

Display Name, type, Lookup Columns, Product Choice Data can me modified during an update of the product choice. However product choice added in a workspace can be deleted before it is approved

6. How many return columns can I add for a product choice?

Only one return column can be added to a product choice

7. How many input columns can I add for a product choice?

There can be as many input columns as required. However, maximum number is 14.

8. Can I add input columns as range?

Yes, an input column of a product choice can be a range however datatype of the column must be decimal.

9. Can I map more than one attributes to a product choice?

Yes. There can be as many number of mappings as required. However these must be combination. Also the data type of the attribute must be same column data type

10. What happens if I map same attributes for different table output columns?

An attribute which is mapped to an output column in one product choice cannot be mapped to another product choice.

11. How many data rows can a product choice have?

You can add as many rows as the requirement demands

12. Can I import product choices (definition and data) through Excel?

No, import of product choice along with definition is not supported

13. How many product choices can I import using Excel?

You can import only data of one product choice at any point of time

14. What happens if the Excel imported has the existing data rows?

As along as the column data matches, system will override the existing data

15. Can I import more than one product choice?

No, importing more than one product choice is not supported

16. What should be order of input columns in terms of the product structure?

It should follow sequence of business data capture.

Example: If a rating class of a property is derived based on state and zip code. Then state must be first in the sequence then followed by zip code and rating class"

17. What happens if the datatype of the input column does not match with attribute it is mapped to?

Datatype of the input column must match with the datatype of an attribute mapped.
